At eight in the morning on 22 January 2018 a UBS breakfast briefing was held at Seed Coffee on the 23rd floor of the incubator, on the global economic outlook and where the structural opportunities lay.
Ge Xujun of the Lunan District financial affairs office, Hu Jian, chairman of BSC Holding, the UBS team and business owners from across Tangshan attended. Deng Tishun of UBS gave the main talk, on conditions abroad and strategy in the Chinese market, and made the point that competition now turns on core technology, which is where an incubator earns its place.
The breakfast format is deliberate: an hour, early, informal, and people who would not otherwise meet sitting at the same table.
