On 25 July 2020 BSC Global Maker Incubator hosted the Tangshan heat of Maker China, the national innovation competition for small and medium industrial-internet companies, in the hall of the BSC maker base.
More than a hundred companies and teams had entered across industrial internet, IoT and artificial intelligence; twelve reached the Tangshan heat. Each had ten minutes to pitch and five to answer the judges.
Three projects went through to the provincial round: an emergency-industry data platform, a vision-based survey analysis system and a face-payment device manufacturer. A matching session afterwards put the entrants in front of investors.
