With the twelfth lunar month bringing the first hint of spring and the scent of porridge in the air, a cultural event themed on Laba porridge and spring calligraphy opened on January 26, 2026 in the multi-purpose hall of BSC Group.
Warm porridge at year's end
This was more than a festive gathering. It was an occasion for traditional New Year customs to take on new life in the daily lives of employees.
Bamboo weaving
Strip by strip, the firm yet supple bamboo passed through the weavers' fingers, and in the crossing of warp and weft the depth of traditional bamboo craft quietly revealed itself. BSC staff worked with their hands and their hearts, rediscovering a simple craftsmanship in the softness and strength of the bamboo.
Paper-cut window decorations
A single sheet of red paper holds countless meanings. As the scissors moved, lively patterns appeared. Window paper-cuts are symbols of good fortune and a mark of the Spring Festival. BSC staff cut out festive designs and pasted up their wishes, so that every window carried hopes for the year ahead.
Calligraphy
To carry on fine traditional culture and create a festive atmosphere, employee representatives took up the brush and wrote their wishes. Some strokes were bold and powerful, others light and graceful. In every line and dot were hopes for the new year and a sincere longing for a good life.
Mother-of-pearl inlay
Employees worked with fragments of mother-of-pearl, carefully fitting the pieces together into small, layered scenes of beauty. They turned the shimmering shell into refined, bespoke pieces, giving a traditional craft new brilliance through creativity.
The hall was full of noise and laughter. Through bamboo weaving, paper-cutting, calligraphy and inlay, BSC staff experienced the meeting of tradition and modernity and the company's values of enjoying work, embracing change, daring to innovate, improving continuously, putting customers first and winning together through cooperation.
Laba has arrived and the Spring Festival is about to begin.
