On April 22, 2025 BSC Holding launched the sixth season of its "Love for Qinghai, Love for All" clothing donation drive, with support from businesses, public institutions, hospitals, schools and caring individuals from many places.
To date, 20 volunteer shifts totalling more than 120 volunteer hours, working alongside BSC staff, have sorted more than 180 bags containing over 10,000 items of donated clothing.
Special thanks go to the Workers, Youth and Women group of the Lubei District CPPCC, the Lunan District New Social Strata Federation, the Tangshan Women Entrepreneurs Association, the Jiusan Society committee at the People's Hospital, Lixin Xili Community, Fuqianglou Community, Shiyou Jiayuan Community, the Junyi Volunteer Service Team of the High-tech Zone, Tangshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of North China University of Science and Technology, Tangshan Culture and Tourism Group, Dongfang Shipping, Shierde Group, Xiangyu Group, Tangshan Jinlutong Trading, Changshenghe Industrial, Beijing Tianshuang Law Firm, Jianleda and Elephant Kingdom, among others, for organising and delivering large quantities of clothing.
Seeing such strong support from every walk of life, with ten thousand items donated in just over 20 days, BSC Holding general manager Guo Lu was moved to say:
Today I want to say a sincere thank you. I remember when I first heard the story of Sister Xuelianhua travelling through the remote mountains of Qinghai, I decided to take part. Every year the bumpy wheels on the mountain roads, the rooms piled high with clothing and the bright eyes of children holding their new school bags are the thing I look forward to most. Over six years we have together turned charity into a moving act of perseverance. Those sweat-soaked mountain roads and the warm parcels sorted by hand are no longer simple good deeds; they are sincerity carved into time.
I especially want to thank every partner in our group: old friends in Tangshan who always respond first, entrepreneur friends who give generously, and family members in other places who send their goodwill across mountains and seas. Today I see more people joining our small organisation, especially so many young people and children. From a small group of a few dozen to a team that keeps growing, watching everyone stay up late discussing how to pack clothing, communicating again and again to match needs precisely, and even travelling great distances to deliver goods in person, this shared purpose across regions often brings tears to my eyes.
Every day when I open my phone and see the messages in the group, someone sorting stock, someone arranging logistics, someone sharing a reply from a child in the mountains, these small but heartfelt moments make me truly feel that love is contagious. When we turn each item of clothing and each book into a child's smile, we plant a light in our own hearts too.
I am reminded of the saying that love given comes back, and blessings sent out return. Thank you to Sister Xuelianhua for six years of living out this purpose, and thank you to every partner whose persistence keeps kindness in circulation. The road may be long, but because of all of you I believe that the warmth we hold in our hands will one morning become starlight that brightens the world.
I am grateful for this meeting. Let us continue hand in hand and write love into a story that never ends.
On May 13, 2025 BSC staff, together with caring individuals, volunteers and supporting merchants, loaded 90 bags and shipped the first batch of about 5,000 items of clothing to Heyin Town in Guide County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture; Dawu Town in Maqin County, Golog; Danzhuang Village, Shidacang Township, Hualong County, Haidong; Zhaba Town in Hualong Hui Autonomous County; Jiaohu Village, Qiakeri Township, Zeku County, Huangnan; Darlag County in Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture; and Zhangmu Port in Nyalam County, Shigatse, Tibet Autonomous Region. A further shipment is planned for the end of May.
On the high plateau, summers are cool and short and winters long and bitterly cold. The clothing drive collects warmth and turns everyone's goodwill into a shared strength. Good things are on the way. Keep love in circulation.
The "Love for Qinghai, Love for All" clothing donation drive
BSC Holding launched the "Love for Qinghai, Love for All" clothing donation drive in 2019. This year marks its sixth season. Its original purpose is to handle used goods in a more environmentally friendly way, supporting a circular economy and the reuse of resources.
The drive is recognised and supported by the Tangshan Municipal Youth League Committee. Every participant receives a donation certificate and can check in on the Zhiyuanhui volunteer app to accumulate volunteer service hours.
The purpose of "Love for Qinghai, Love for All" is to handle used goods in a more environmentally friendly way, supporting a circular economy and the reuse of resources. More than 60 community organisations, businesses and public institutions and more than 600 people have taken part, and its growing influence has made it a signature public welfare activity of Lunan District. As a company rooted in Lunan District, BSC takes its social responsibility seriously and will keep using environmental and charitable principles, backed by real action, to bring more caring people into the effort.
